Cavvy Rescue

Well, not often do I get the chance to indulge in my 'Cavalier King Charles Rescue', but recently I did.

I got wind of a breeder trying to rehome her old breeding stock through another breeder, so went to check them out. She had two dogs remaining, one black and tan male, and one tri girl.

This is 'Tessa'

She is a lovely girl, big in body with a lovely big head and long ears, great breeding quality. I was hoping to have a reg'd litter with her, but not while DH is alive hahahaha [he is a meanie]

Anyway, so I found her a lovely home very quickly, with a loving family in Forrestdale with 4 kids who all adored her!
Here is one last pic of this beautiful girl....

Things are getting better

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, I have been slow to post as I have been having extreme health issues and unfortunately, cat rescue is low on the list of priorities, just trying to get through day to day.

Am a bit disheartened with rescue groups in general, there can often be a lack of communication, little paper trails and as I am a methodical and organised [read:anal] person, I find it unprofessional when things don't seem clear...

Anyway, in terms of fostering, my two cats that I currently have are going well. I have a home lined up for one, and am hoping to have the other rehomed by the end of this week, or sadly will have to go to another carer as I need to focus on my health and getting through each day and just taking time to BREATHE...

I always take on too much, I am far too hands on, but each struggle is a learning curve, I have learnt that until I get my health and life back on track, I need as little stress as possible...
Unfortunately though, there will always be homeless and unwanted pets on euthanasia's door. There is only so much one person can do, but even to help a little seems like a good step in the right direction...

Stay tuned for a healthier more on track me to tackle the world's pet population explosion! Now to find myself a parvo-pup suit to dress up and megaphone the 'truth' outside a puppy-selling pet shop, and I will be feeling more myself....

Fosters- mummy and bub cat

Well, I have a mum and bub cat in right now..... [mum-top photo, kitten, middle and bottom pics]

Their names are Diedre [mum] although kids can't pronounce that so are calling her 'Dearie'- but Miss 4 had her heart set on calling her 'Fairy'.... lol.... the baby boy is called 'Elmo', and not sure on their ages, mum looks about a year or less, and baby is about 12-16 weeks....

Why oh why these two are homeless is beyond me- that are gorgeous looking cats- in good health, and nice natures. Mummy has that quiet air that these young mums get when pregnant too young, but I am sure over time she will become bolder and a real lap cat- she is sweet!
Baby boy has all the potential of being a regular boy- all male swagger, but not overly testosterone-y, but give him time ;)

Both cats would make EXCELLENT family cats- love my girls already and jumped in the basin as the girls were brushing their teeth!
Will introduce them to the family dog over the next few days, as she is a Cavalier, she is an excellent recruit for cat-taming, but we will go slow...

If anyone is interested in these cats, I will pop a link up to the SAFE [Saving Animals From Euthanasia] soon. Both will be fully vacced, microchipped, de-wormed and de-flead as well as the all important sterilisation!! They will come with new collars, paperwork, food and litter samples....

Save a life- =) please

The beginning- My bleeding heart

I will dedicate this blog henceforth to all the homeless and neglected and abused animals out there.

This will showcase me in my endeavours to give back to them by rehabilitating and *hopefully* rehoming rescues.
